Show Guest: Mike Tyson / Robin Givens
Robin Givens Appeared On Oprah After Mike Tyson To Get Publicity...Oops I mean to discuss Mike Tyson:
Show Guest: BeBe Winans
Oprah seemed to be getting her hypocrisy on lately, allowing alleged wife-beater BeBe Winans on to her show. We thought Oprah was adamantly against domestic abusers. Oddly enough, Chris Brown calls Oprah foul for not letting him tell his side of the story on her show. After being called out for her contradictory behavior, Oprah released this press release:
"Winans appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” last week and was seen in promos for future appearances. Now he’ll be cut out of the segment, said Winfrey spokesman Don Halcombe on Thursday. Winfrey was criticized by some bloggers this week for including Winans after she had taken a strong stand against domestic violence earlier this year. She did a show on the topic when singer Chris Brown assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna. The daytime TV leader said at the time: “Domestic violence is something that I wouldn’t tolerate. Period.”
Halcombe would only say that the decision to eliminate Winans was made this week. It was not clear if Winfrey had been aware that Winans was charged with misdemeanor domestic assault in the Feb. 13 incident, where Winans and his ex-wife Debra were allegedly arguing about their children. Winans has a court date set for Jan. 20."
According to OnTheFlix.Com
BeBe Winans was arrested awhile back from charges of domestic violence and his ex-wife is upset he was going on the Oprah Winfrey Show, according to Gather.com. They report that the Gospel singer was arrested back in March of this year for domestic assault against his ex-wife .
He allegedly pushed her down to the ground in front of their children. The case is currently still pending.
There is a little controversy stirring up, because despite this news, Oprah is having him on her show tomorrow to, again, host her Karaoke Challenge. (This is a post that was up before Oprah's Karaoke show aired, BeBe Winans did not appear on that show because of the hypocrisy factor)
Oprah has recently spoken out against domestic violence with the case of Chris Brown & Rihanna, and wouldn’t allow him on her show.
Now, it’s reported that Bebe’s ex wife, Debra Winans has said that she’s hurt by Oprah having him on her show. She stated to TMZ, “hurt by Oprah’s decision to have Bebe on the show.”
So, I guess the controversy is, is Oprah a hypocrite?
Now even though Oprah pulled BeBe from her recent Karaoke Challenge show, he appeared on the show a couple of weeks ago with his sister CeCe Winans to perform a new song "Grace"................
Show Guest: SEAN PENN

During Sean Penn's marriage to Madonna, their relationship was marred by violent outbursts against the press, including one incident for which he was arrested for assaulting a photographer on a film set; Penn was sentenced to 60 days in jail in mid-1987, of which he served 33 days. It is also suggested that when Penn discovered the paparazzo in his hotel room, he hung him by his ankles from the ninth-floor balcony. Madonna dedicated her third studio album, True Blue to Penn, referring to him in the liner notes as "the coolest guy in the universe". Later in the marriage, Penn was charged with felony domestic assault, a charge for which he pleaded to a misdemeanor. Penn and Madonna divorced in 1989.
News of the alleged abuse during their stormy marriage was tabloid headlines during the 80s and is now back in the limelight, thanks to Penn's humiliating comment and Chris Brown's scandal. A Daily Mail article highlights some of the biggest blowups from the former Mr. Madonna:
Penn's drinking exacerbated the problem. In an interview given a decade later, he admitted about his marriage: 'I was not of sober mind during most of it.'
Camille Barbone observed: 'Sean drinks from morning till night.'
In June 1987, Madonna went to the Cedars Sinai hospital for an X-ray after Penn apparently hit her across the head with a baseball bat. At the time, they had been having a heart-to-heart talk about reconciling.
Madonna did not make an official complaint because Penn was about to serve a short jail term for attacking a film extra. He served 33 days of a 60-day sentence in the Los Angeles County jail (23 hours a day in solitary) for violating the probation he'd been given for punching a fan.
There was also the time, the article notes, that Penn broke into her Malibu home and essentially held her hostage:
Penn chased her into the living room, caught her and bound her to a chair with heavy twine. Then he threatened to cut off her hair.
According to the police report, Penn was 'drinking liquor straight from the bottle' and the abuse went on for several hours, during which time he smacked and roughed up his victim ...
Penn ran after her and was banging on the windows of her Thunderbird while she spoke to police on her mobile phone. Fifteen minutes later, she staggered into the sheriff's office.
Show Guest: TERRENCE HOWARD

In February 2009 it was reported on the The Smoking Gun that Howard was arrested in 2001 for a variety of charges related to a violent attack on his estranged wife, including simple assault, terrorist threats, harassment and stalking. According to police reports, he arrived at her house after an argument on the phone, forced entry into her home by breaking in doors, and chased her into the back yard where he punched her twice in the face with a closed fist. The violent attack ended when Howard's brother stopped it. In 2002 he pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace.
These issues came to light after he reportedly downplayed singer Chris Brown's 2009 arrest for attacking his girlfriend Rihanna. When Howard was asked about the allegations of domestic violence against Brown, he told a reporter from Hollywood.tv "It's just life, man. Chris is a great guy. He'll be all right, and Rihanna knows he loves her, you know? They'll be all right."
